The New Favorite

While spotlighting the middle-child, “The New Favorite” reflects on the cultural preference of boys over girls and the implied double standards that come with it. This piece is a digital illustration to dummy-book Malinchita (autobiographical graphic YA novel), which is a story of a spirited girl’s coming of age during and after the Salvadoran Civil War.
